Managing Director
Michael began his career in 1997 attending the Investment Banking Program with PaineWebber. Shortly thereafter, he became a Financial Planner with Scher Financial Group, an office of MetLife, before forming Hudson Wealth Advisors. In 2016, the MetLife Premier Client Group (MPCG) was acquired by MassMutual, and Hudson Wealth Advisors was merged into Fortis Lux Financial. Michael is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Michael also attended the University of Seville, Spain where he studied International Finance and Taxation.
Michael is committed to building long-term relationships with his clients, and helping them reach their goals is his number one priority. He focuses on wealth management strategies and investments, as well as protection and retirement planning. Drawing on his knowledge, experience, and world-class planning tools, he strives to help build financial freedom for all his clients.
Michael is a member of many prestigious organizations, such as the National Association for Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the International Association for Financial Planners (IAFP) and previously, the National Football League Financial Advisory Program (NFLFA).
He has received several honors and designations including MetLife Securities Advisory Board (2004-2016), Fidelity’s Advisory Council (2001- present) and BlackRock’s Masters Club (2007-present). Michael achieved the ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation in May 2010 along with his CASL® (Chartered Advisor for Senior Living) designation shortly thereafter.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys coaching two baseball teams in his community, running 5k races with his children for War Veterans and Cancer charity organizations, reading non-fiction books on Navy Seals and Special Forces (military), and mentoring through the Veterans Association.
Director of Portfolio Management
Edward is the Director of Investment Strategy for New York City based Fortis Lux Asset Management. As of 2025, he oversees more than $2 billion in multi-asset class investment portfolios. He has 25+ years of wealth management experience, beginning in 1999 with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in Greenwich, CT.
Edward operated his own wealth management outfit in New York which he ran until 2011 prior to joining MetLife Premier Client Group (now Fortis Lux Financial. He is committed to offering the highest level of investment techniques and investment research; his extensive knowledge of investing allows him to provide complex strategies and comprehensive portfolio management suitable for high net worth investors. The approach he uses for investment research and risk assessment utilizes a combination of fundamental and technical analysis.
In 2016, MetLife Premier Client Group was acquired by MassMutual, and Hudson Wealth Advisors was merged into Fortis Lux Financial.
Edward is a BSME graduate of Lehigh University, class of 1996.
Wealth Advisor
Sam Gordon is an investment and insurance specialist, advising individual and corporate clients in strategies to enhance asset growth, and better serve their risk management ambitions. He graduated from Lehigh University in 2015, with a double major in Finance and Marketing. Now holding Series 7 & 66 licenses, as well as pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, his efforts to help others better achieve their financial ambitions have expanded under the experienced mentorship of the Fortis Lux family.
Sam began his career in financial services with a boutique equity research firm, building institutional investment portfolios using fundamental and sub-industry level analysis. The passing of legislation further regulating how portfolio managers acquired equity research, pointed him to a more fulfilling path; helping individuals and corporations build wealth and manage risk efficiently.
His time serving as a combat paratrooper in the Israel Defense Force (IDF) helped to solidify Sam's focus and drive to improving the lives of each client he speaks with. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his fiance Emily, enjoying travel, concerts, puzzles, pickleball, and trying their hand at recreating their favorite restaurant recipes.

Founding Partner
As the founder of the Manhattan-based financial firm, Fortis Lux Financial, Felix had a vision to create a microcosm of opportunity for both the firm’s clients, and its advisors and support team. “This is a firm that’s comprised of go-getters who want to help other go-getters, ” he says. Felix, who actively served in the military for years, grew up in suburban Connecticut, and immersed himself in athletics while in high school. After college, financial services seemed like the perfect environment for someone with his boundless energy and talent for developing people. He started out as an advisor in 2001, and quickly rose through the ranks of management. He served in leadership roles at American Express Financial Advisors and MetLife, prior to founding Fortis Lux Financial.

Research Analyst
Jay is a Financial Advisor with Fortis Lux Financial. He brings extensive investment management experience to the firm, having worked at some of the largest and most well respected money management companies, including Franklin-Templeton, INVESCO and Deutsche Bank. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and has experience in the technology, media & telecommunications sectors.
In 2000, Jay was named lead Portfolio Manager of the INVESCO GT Technology Fund. He designed and implemented a proprietary investment process, and managed a 7-person team overseeing more than $1.5 billion in assets.
Jay is well versed in institutional-class asset allocation strategies, portfolio construction techniques, securities selection, and risk management. As an investment adviser representative, he helps clients develop a strategy to meet their financial goals. Jay has a B.A. in Business-Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
National Sales Director
Lisa began her career External Wholesaling to Financial Advisors within Financial Institutions at AIG SunAmerica, She has continually progressed in her career to National Sales positions of greater scope and responsibility, from AIG National Accounts, to Wells Fargo Advisors where she covered Bank, Wire and Independent Channel Relationships for the National Sales Group. Most recently, Lisa represented the MetLife Securities Broker-Dealer covering the MetLife PCG Advisors Channel which was later acquired by MassMutual. Lisa continues her work in national sales, previously represented MetLife Securities covering the MetLife Advisors Channel, which was later acquired by MassMutual.
Lisa offers a blend of financial services multi-channel wholesaling and relationship management. Her strong sales experience and sales management expertise have been valuable to her success in penetrating target markets, generating additional sources of revenue, and forming strategic relationships.
